ASUU: Strike Will Continues For 10 Years Until FG Agrees To Demands

Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has expressed resolve of members to stay for 10 years than to call off the strike embarked upon by the union, if the FG continues ignoring the agreement with the union. 

The Zonal Coordinator, Benin zone of ASUU, Dr. Ighalo Sunny, said part of the MOU signed in 2012 between the FG and the union was that government will increase the yearly budgetary allocation to the educational sector to 26 per cent among others.

He explained government has not shown readiness to implement the agreement tabled before them.
