The painting is called “Truth” – and shows the president with his arms outstretched. A crown of thorns rests on his head.
It was originally supposed to debut nearly four years ago at New York City’s Union Square. But that event was cancelled due to public outrage.

In the piece, by Michael D’Antuono, the President is shown wearing a suit and red tie with his arms outstretched.
But instead of actually being nailed to a cross like Jesus, Mr Obama’s arms are extended drawing back a blue curtain. He has a crown of thorns resting on his head.

According to Michael D’Antuono……

‘I always regretted cancelling my exhibit in New York because I feel my First Amendment rights should override someone’s hurt feelings,’ Mr D’Antuono told Fox News.
