Emab Plaza  which is a busy shopping mall in the highbrow area of Nigeria’s capital city, on Aminu Kano Crescent.

The explosion apparently occurred at the gate of the busy plaza.
According to Premium Times a number of 11 cars were completely burnt in the explosion while some others suffered various damages.

However Emergency officials are still evacuating the injured and bodies to Maitama District Hospital and are requesting for more ambulances at Maitama District hospital "to transfer victims to other hospitals."
Meanwhile a police officer have laments the laack of security at the plaza saying: "Nothing, they don’t search cars, booths, anybody can just drive in," he said.

The National Emergency Management Agency have not yet confirmed the number of casualties.
Although the cause of the bomb blast isn’t certain yet, traders in the plaza, however said the blast apparently went off in a car that was driving into the mall.

The bomb blast is coming some months after an explosion rocked Nyanya in Abuja in May which left many dead and several others injured.
