The Chelsea star is optimistic that the Nigerian side has the wherewithal to win their third African trophy as the tournament countdown begins

"I want to say that we have a fantastic crop of players that are very talented and are ready to do their best at the tournament," Moses said.

"It gives me joy to know that these players are good in their own right and are always willing to give their best in every circumstances.

"We have played together for a long time to know what we want in any game.  In every position, there are good players and this will be an advantage for us during the competition.

"I am confident of a good outing in South Africa and we have prepared very well. Having missed the last edition, there is a burning desire in us to make Nigerians proud after the tournament."

Moses who joined Chelsea from Wigan this season in the English Premiership is making his first appearance at the continental showpiece and talked about his personal goals for the competition.


"My ambition is to contribute my quota to the overall success of the team. I want to play in every match, score goals when the opportunity presents itself and help players in good positions to also score goals.

"When all these happen, then you can be sure that we are going to bring back the trophy. This is my first Africa Cup of Nations and I want to make it a memorable one," Moses concluded.
