Ministers of Europe are all set to regulate electronic cigarettes. It appears that a little restriction on the sale of electronic cigarettes has started a debate. The debate is between the consumers and investors.

Electronic cigarettes are defined as battery-powered devices. They are able to convert nicotine-laced liquids into vapor. Statistics reveal that 700,000 people die in the EU from smoking diseases. So, a revised version of EU directive is on the table. It is waiting to receive an approval from MEPs. After their approval, the rules would come into effect in 2016.

According to Britain's Anna Soubry, such restrictions are important. The reason attributed for the same is that flavoured tobacco lures consumers by camouflaging its pitfalls behind the tag of `nature's product'.
Considering the facts, Anna Soubry said, "Today was an important step to letting people know what tobacco products contain and in stopping the next generation ever getting involved".

Several remarks have followed the ban. This includes a comment from Paul Nuttall, deputy leader of the UK Independence Party. Even EU Health Commissioner Tonio Borg, of Malta did not refrain from making a comment in this regard. All these comments have shown anger over the logic behind the restriction imposed.
