A male nurse in California is accused of necrophilia after he was allegedly caught committing a Sêx act on a dead woman.
Alejandro Razo, 61, was arrested Sunday at Sherman Oaks
Hospital, where he works. Security guards called police after there was
an “indication that a deceased patient had somehow been violated by an
employee of the hospital,” LAPD Lt. Andy Neiman told CBS Los Angeles.
It’s yet unclear how the suspect was caught, but Razo was charged with necrophilia and slapped with a Health and Safety Code violation, Patch reports.
“It’s a very sensitive case because you’re dealing with somebody who
is deceased, who’s a loved one of somebody, who really couldn’t even
fight back, so it’s our job to fight back for them,” Neiman told CBS Los
Angeles.
Committing necrophilia wasn’t a crime in California until 2004. But
it is now, and Razo faces up to three years in prison if convicted. He
reportedly posted $20,000 bail, NBC Los Angeles reports.
Sherman Oaks Hospital declined to comment on the incident, and LAPD officials wouldn’t release more details.
